There are no words to describe your performance in Johnstown, Pa. I am not a fan of chamber music, but I was truly amazed by the range of emotion the was reflected by your trio within the Juon Concerto. I was also impressed by the fact that you are three musicians with extraordianary skills, and are able to use those to compliment your fellow musicians so well. I purchased one of your CDs and it has not left my stereo all week - it makes my fingers want to play.

I want to thank you all for a tremendous concert last night at Levy Hall. I especially want to thank Mr. Istomin. He was so kind and attentive to my six-year-old son, Grant, who had drawn a picture of a cello that he graciously autographed. I want you to know that he hung it on the wall above his pillow last night when he went to bed. I have just begun introducing my young children to classical music, and look forward to taking them to more events like this one. My hope is that they will gain an appreciation for classical music and desire to try their hand at different instruments. Your attention to Grant last night was an important first step. Pascal Tortelier has just handed me a CD of your Frank Bridge release.
He was very enthusiastic about it and I am listening to it now with
great enjoyment. I have been researching and publishing the music of Bridge for a very long time.
Did you know that your recording of the 1904 Sonata is the very first
one - the premiere? I am delighted that you have recorded it.
The wonderful cello sonata also sounds well. I do hope that you'll be
able to record Bridge's masterpiece the late Piano Trio. This is a
fantastic piece as you may already know. There is also a lot of fine
piano music and the late Violin Sonata of course.

I listened to the trio's CD and I love it!!! There is so much
creativity in it that I hadn'theard in any other trio before. I am definitely a fan!! hahaha
The pieces are lovely, too, a really good selection and compilation.
Anyway, just wanted to let you know.

I saw you in Myrtle Beach this winter, and I thought you were fabulous! I was expecting 3 pianos, but what a wonderful surprise your trio was! I hope you will play at Chautauqua Institution some season soon. I'll be watching your event listing!
